ALIVE Humanities Class

The ALIVE Humanities Class is a co-lead course for 9th graders taught from a popular education model, in which students' lived experiences form the basis of the curriculum.  Course topics include peace-making, territory, oppression, and gender relationships. Currently taught at the Metropolitan Business Academy, ALIVE Humanities is an innovative program that helps 9th graders adapt to high school, and solidifies social norms of respect and expression.  Students respond enthusiastically to the program, which they feel makes education relevant and engaging.
